Understanding Chronic Pain

There are many different causes for chronic pain.  Some common causes are nerve damage or injuries that have failed to heal properly. Aging can also affect bones and joints in a way that can cause chronic pain.  Diseases such as Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis can also be a culprit in causing chronic pain.

 

Some other causes of chronic pain include:

Years of poor posture

Improper lifting & carrying of heavy objects

Overweight - which can put too much strain on back and knees

Curvature of the spine

Traumatic injury

Wearing improper fitting shoes or high heels

Sleeping on a poor mattress
